The New Diet Plan

Anyone that knows me knows I've been fat for some time. Yeah, I was one of those kids wearing husky size pants. It's just the way it's always been for me. Even in high school, I ran cross country, track, and played baseball. I could maintain the weight, but couldn't get it off.

In college, the best thing I ever did to lose weight was work a landscaping job one summer. Once back in school, and drinking soda and eating cheeseburgers all the time, it didn't take much for it to reappear.

Fast forward 10-plus years later, and here I am, almost 300 pounds. The family had a gym membership this year, and I managed to lose about 5 pounds for the year. That is the opposite of effenciency. So, a few weeks ago, we went to Disney. After trying not to drink soda, keeping hydration in mind, and carrying my 4-year old son around on my shoulders a few hours a day, I actually lost three pounds over the week. I got excited. Thinking if I went on a "soda diet" for a few days, maybe I could do this long term and see substantial results.

Two weeks after Disney, I had lost another two pounds. Color me excited. So stay tuned here to see the updates.
