The Case for Derrick Rose as MVP

If you haven't paid attention to the NBA in a few weeks, sports writers and MVP voter-type people are salivating over Derrick Rose as the presumptive NBA MVP. Common sense says it looks like a good thing. He's averaging just south of 25 points per game, about eight assists per game, and is the best player on a team that has had two players miss significant time with injuries. But does that tell the whole story?
